Guidelines to ensure a fair, professional, and enjoyable competition for all participants
⭐️ Who Can Compete
- Participants ages 5 and up are welcome to compete in VibeStage.
- Category divisions may be adjusted based on the number of participants.
- All contestants must complete their audition video, registration and payment before the deadline.
📸 Media Release
By participating in VibeStage, contestants grant permission for photos and videos of performances to be used for promotional media purposes.
⚠️ Code Of Conduct
VibeStage promotes a respectful and supportive environment. All contestants, parents, and guests are expected to conduct themselves professionally. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in disqualification.
🎤 Performance Guidelines
- Contestants must be in the auditorium 30 minutes prior to their category. If you are not present at the time of your category roll call, you will not be allowed to compete.
- Performances must follow the assigned time limits. 3 Minutes Max, except for Broadway and Most Promising Categories.
- Contestants must provide Instrumental or approved accompaniment tracks to your member portal 30 days prior to the competition date. No changes after that. (Note: Contestants are responsible for submitting correct accompaniment tracks. VibeStage is not responsible for incorrect or malfunctioning audio files.)
- All categories must be performed live including self-accompaniment.
- Songs must be appropriate for a live family audience.
🏆 Judging Criteria
Performances will be evaluated by experienced judges based on:
⭐️ Vocal Quality and Technique - Evaluation of pitch accuracy, tone, breath support, and vocal range.
⭐️ Timing and Rhythm - Adherence to the tempo and musical phrasing.
⭐️ Diction - Clarity of words and proper pronunciation.
⭐️ Interpretation and Expression - How well the performer connects with the lyrics, emotion, and musicality of the song.
⭐️ Stage Presence & Performance - Confidence, audience engagement, and appropriate movement
All judges' decisions are Final.
🚨 Finalists selected for Saturday Evenings Final Competition will be chosen based on accumulative scores gathered from all judges averaged and weighted throughout the weeks competition.
🎶 Categories
VibeStage features multiple vocal categories (Listed Below). Contestants may compete in multiple categories.
Category Descriptions

Broadway – Songs from musical theatre productions (stage or film adaptations).

Classical – Classical or operatic repertoire performed with traditional vocal technique.

Country – Country music in any era or style.

Gospel – Gospel or Christian worship music.

Jazz – Jazz standards or jazz-influenced vocal selections.

Magic – Songs from Disney movies, shows, or productions.

Pop – Contemporary or mainstream popular music.

R&B – Rhythm & Blues, soul, or neo-soul selections.

Rap – Rap or spoken vocal performance (must be appropriate for live audience and minimum of 25% rap).

Rock – Rock music from any era.

World – Music representing international styles that is at least 50% in another language other than english.

Quick Study – A performance prepared from provided material with limited preparation time.

Most Promising/Most Outstanding – Any genre; showcases emerging talent and potential.

Self-Accompaniment 1 – Any genre; Perform while accompanying yourself on any instrument.

Self-Accompaniment 2 – Any genre; Second self-accompanied performance.

Self-Accompaniment 3 – Any genre; Third self-accompanied performance.

Original 1 – Any genre; Original music accompanied by a track or self accompanied instrument.
